The Eagle and the Cock

There were two roosters on a farm. They were fighting over who would be the overlord of the farm. The battle was over, and the defeated party hid dejectedly in a dark corner, while the victorious one flew up to the roof and sang proudly. However, an eagle in the sky spotted the winning rooster from high up, swooped down and carried him off. The other cock immediately came out of the corner, and with no competition, he was in control of the farm.
